NOT FOR EATING
For each medium size turkey hen, you will need:
1 large pinecone, 6 inches long
Glue gun with glue
Felt fabric for tail feathers: pink, green, navy blue, red, yellow, etc.
1 sweet gumball
2 floating glass eyes
1 brown pipe cleaner
- Cut six tail feathers from different colors of felt. (Use patterns below)
- Cut 1 beak out of yellow or orange felt and 1 wattle (red flesh that hangs from a turkey’s throat) out of red felt. (Use patterns.)
- Glue one end of pipe cleaner into sweet gumball, and the other end of the pipe cleaner into the side of the top of the pinecone.
- Glue floating glass eyes, beak, and wattle to gumball – this is the turkey’s head.
- Glue felt tail feathers into other end of pinecone.
Note: Enlarge pattern for a Tom turkey, decrease for babies.
